Nu am fost niciodata in Grecia. Si cu barca pe mare am fost de 2 ori (pe coasta de vest a Irlandei sa vedem insula Skellig Michael unde s-a filmat unul din filmele Star Wars) si mi s-o facut rau. Dar il stiu pe Paul de mult timp (am fost colegi de liceu si facultate), si stiam ca face excursii pe mare de multi ani, si cand mi-o spus ca mai are un loc liber pentru excursia din insulele Ioniene in luna august 2025 am zis ca poate impusc doi iepuri dintr-un foc: vad Grecia si imi inving raul de mare. In excursia asta am vizitat 4 insule: - Am pornit din Lefkas de pe insula Lefkada de unde am mers pana pe plaja Vathy pe insula Ithaki care ii o insula mai mica dar deosebita, cu taverne cu o mancare deosebita. - Apoi am mers pana la insula Zakinthos sa vedem epava de pe plaja Navagio (in estul insulei) si sa facem o baie pe plaja Filippoi pe partea de vest a insulei. - Apoi ne-am pornit inapoi spre Kefalonia, unde ne-am oprit prima data la Argostoli, un oras foarte cochet si vibrant cu multe restaurante si magazine. Tot pe Kefalonia am vizitat plaja Xi renumita pentru stancile de namol, plaja Myrtos cu pietrele albe pe fundul marii, plaja Assos unde am urcat sa vedem ruinele unei biserici si de unde am admirat intreaga zona, plaja Fiskardo unde am admirat un satuc cu case in stil venetian si am mancat o ciorba de peste ca in povesti. - Apoi ne-am intors inapoi la Lefkas de unde am plecat, si am apucat sa admiram acest orasel pe timp de noapte si sa mancam regeste la o taverna din centrul vechi al orasului unde am fost serviti de o ospatarita romanca (da, romanii sunt peste tot). Pot sa spun ca mi-am atins obiectivele pentru vacanta asta, adica sa vad Grecia si sa-mi inving raul de mare. Si mai mult decat atat am decis sa incep sa iau cursuri de navigat pe mare pentru ca m-am indragostit de mare, de linistea ce o ofera, si de minutatele insulele ce le pot vedea avand o barca. Si asta datorita lui Paul si Dream Sails, care mi-a oferit nu numai o vacanta de vis, dar si un hobby pe care vreau sa-l practic multi ani de acum inainte. Claudiu Chis

It was my first time spending so much time at the sea, and of course, I started off with a lot of emotions. But thanks to Paul and the whole crew, it turned out to be the best experience ever. Paul is not only a great skipper, but also a really nice guy, full of passion for sailing and with a lot of patience. He helped us get used to life on the boat, answered all our questions, and showed us the sea in a way that makes you fall in love with it instantly. I recommend him not just as a skipper, but also as someone who knows how to keep the vibe alive (he can even dance when it’s needed, too bad I can’t attach the video here! :))) ). For me, I’m still trying to process all the beauty I saw in just one week. The amazing places, the way you see the beaches and the coast from the sea—it’s something else. The freedom you feel out there is unique: stopping for a quick swim, sleeping under the stars in a wild bay, or moving forward only with the wind (even at a 45-degree angle, haha). I totally recommend this trip—it’s so worth it. And on top of that, you get to meet great people and make new friends along the way. Luminita Cifor
